hi travelling from Chester to bottom of Cornwall next Saturday evening which is the best motorway service area to stop at, will be arriving too late to use a camp site.

A lot of camp sites have a late arrivals pitch, you just settle up in the morning etc. I'd look for one of those personally. Wouldn't fancy camping at the services, pretty noisy even at night.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Done this trip hundreds of times over many years,
when we arrive at the bristol area we look out for the sign Cribbs causway and leave the motorway and keep going left for a short distance and top up with fuel at asda, be carefull at the pay booth and if its during the night use your card.
then about 10 miles past Bristol we come off at Sedgemoor services, app halfway to Cornwall, stop there for 2 hours then continue our jurney down to the A30.
when on the A30 if we need to stop again we keep going untill we come to one of the laybys thats set back from the road.
ill bet your going to the St Ives Hayle area
Dont forget if you are staying at the motorway services more than 2 hours you will have to pay.
Enjoy your holiday, bring some sunshine with you, havent seen any for a week
Sedgemoor services
bottom right if going south, top left if going north
Thanks for all the advice we are going to the Roseland peninsula so sedgmoor looks great, will be leAving Chester at six so three to four hours sounds about right to stop.
