new to me my 1995 elddis gtx is in need of tyres:
this van was pampered and well looked after, up until year 2000. which is when last tyres were fitted, after which it sat mostly on winter wheels on site with last owner.
we do intend to tour with it so new tyres and tyrons to be fitted: have looked at various etyres type companys on internet,at present caravan has avon SUPERVAN 175R13C LOAD RANGE 94/92 N
Now the Question: all of the tyre sites i have been on request a profile size % which seems to be listed on newer tyres: but no mention on my vans old tyres can i choose any profile size: does anyone have opinion to which would be best tyres and company to use,for my 1995 elddis gtx furicano 2 berth. many thanks and lots more questions to be aswered soon..just previewed my post and its still showing me as camper, shall have to change my profile thanks for any advice/suggestions
Hi. The % only applies to low profile tyres. It just happens most cars run on low profile tyres now.
Our caravan tyres are also standard profile so are just 185r14. This is fairly standard for vans as it helps give a smoother tow with limited suspension on a van.

I had two NEXAN com van tyres of the exact spec as the original Maxi-Milers fitted as I could not obtain Maxi-Milers of the same size bigger or smaller. The Nexans where fitted in my front drive by E-Tyres new valves balanced and oldtyres taken away for £100.
your tyres are a commercial tyre indicated by the "c"
&the ratio is 80 the double load indication of 92/94 also confirms this as they relate to the single/double rear wheels used on some commercial vehicles
wow very quick concise and informative answersL many thankshave ordered them for saturday fitting: advisor says they cannot fit tyrons until they check the size of inner rims but will book then following weeks
