I just wondered,do you leave a caravan battery on charge 24/7 while you are on holiday or do you use it all day and turn charger on over night.Whats the best way to get the most from your battery

To get the most from your battery keep it fully charged at all times.

If its a proper charger then it will keep the battery at a floating charge. Just enough to prevent the battery gassing. Leave the charger on 24/7.

It doesnt fully charge it 100%. You need a decent external charger for that.

Running it down and recharging will probably increase the fluid loss.

Have you checked the fluid levels?

The original charger in my van was the one fitted when the van was made back in 1997.
I have since upgraded it to a new charger (PSU) and that gives it a floating charge. So I leave it charging 24/7 while on site.

I store my van in my workshop and there it only gets a charge if the workshop mains are on. A couple of hours, every other day.
