Whilst on my travels, I would quite like to stop en route home to visit passing towns. But as I am towing, there never seems to be enough parking bays or any allocations anywhere in Britain.
What does everyone else do?
Many thanks
I used to detour quite often when I had a small campervan, but now I'm towing, I have never done this either. The only places I stop for a break are motorway services and nice big lay-byes. It's just too much of a worry to try and find somewhere to park!

Slightly off topic but I can't believe how many non towers park in the towing/truck bays at motorway services. You see these enormous bays with a little car in it! Its not as if there are no other bays empty. The number of times we have driven into then out of a service area due to having nowhere to park is a bit of a joke. We now start trying to find one a good hour before needing to stop (for food) just in case it takes us ages to find one. Its even worse when our son needs the loo. Our unit is 41ft (car and van) so we can't stop just anywhere. Rant over!!

Exactly! If you want to visit places on route then you need a motorhome!
