Hi we have tried different ways of making the bed up in our vans we have tried the two seat cushions side by side and the back pices at bottom . Also tried the 4 pices going across the bed . Even tried a duvet on the bottom but was too.hot. How do others make up thier beds and whatviscthe most comfortable. Its the blasted knee rolls what do it . All ideas welcome x
We purchased 2 duverlays a few years ago and they were the best thing we have invested in. We now flip over the cushions (due to the knee rolls) and then put the duvalays on top and find it works well. We purchased the storage bags so in the morning its a quick job just to roll them up and store them in the cupboard, etc. They are normally at the NEC show in October so if you are going have a look at them (or you can order on line)
And we did the same as black ice. We bought a memory-foam mattress topper from the memory-foam-warehouse. Much cheaper than duvalays, and really comfortable.
Thing is my hubby is allergic to memory foam I bought a matress topper for our bed and he came out in a rash . He has an allergy to colphonium thats somethingbin rubber. Mind you was only a cheap one from b and m bargains and Iit didnt have a cover on it dont know if theres a difference in the better quality ones . Do you guys find them very warm though the one fpr our bed was
Our memory foam mattress is just covered with an ordinary bed sheet, but you can buy fitted mattress covers from the same place I got it. Yes it is warm, but not overly so. We sleep really well on it, and the last time we went away was on a really hot week.
I made my own version of a duvalay from a double quilt cover, a single quilt and a single memory foam topper. Much cheaper than the original and just as comfy. I have 2 straps to hold them once they are rolled up.
