Hi, were going to CCC site in Scarborough next Friday, were travelling from Flats Lane Normanby Middlesbrough. Never been to Scarborough before with the caravan. wondered the best route as i know there is a bank that's unsuitable for caravans, ours is a twin axle.

I would say the best route for you is straight down the A171 to Scarborough it should take you about 1hr and a half, quite good roads and lovely scenery through Whitby and most importantly avoids sutton bank on the A170. Alternatively you could just go down the A19 until you hit the ring road then 1st exit and follow the road into Scarborough but it will be really busy and most likely take you a lot longer, but just two suggestions.

Alternatively, the way we always go to Bridlington is from Stokesley to Helmsley, to Pickering. We turn off onto the A169 but you could keep on the A170 all the way to Scarborough.
