Hi all I have a caprice 2020 oven and the igniter isn't working can anyone tell me if it is run on 12volt or a battery pack somewhere

It runs on 12v and the spark generator is behind the control knob fascia panel.

There is an analogue alternative. Its called a Match

These were very popular from the 19th to the early 21st century in many European countries.

Their use has almost died out as they have been largely replaced by the Lighter

This also lead to the demise of the hobby of matchbox collecting.

i use a small gas torch to light my cooker.. pretty much everything works on my older van but replacing the cooker electric igniter is one thing i havnt bother doing..
