Our 3 season awning {Apache Borneo 850] got hammered by end of that hurricane a few weeks back. Very fortunately the only damage is 3 sections of bent pole. But the dealer where we bought it new only 5 years ago says it's very unlikely that he will be able to source replacements. The manufacturer,Cabanon, no longer makes awnings and the poles are a bit thicker , to withstand bad weather!
We've done the usual of looking at oddments in the likes of Towsure but no luck so far.Has any body had poles made for them ?. We actually live in Steel City so you'd think this would be a cinch . I had a similar problem with a trio awning a good few years ago and couldn't find anybody who could make them .
Cheers for any help . Siobhan
Thanks for the suggestion, Albee. I have since found out that Cabanon no longer makes awnings of our type and the trailer tent poles are not compatible. Still searching and welcome any other suggestions. Cheers Siobhan k
thanks . we've done a tour of dealers bins for old poles . It's the problem of having a good awning from a manufacturer who is no longer making them . As I said in my original post, the awning is in brilliant nick and only 3 poles got bent but they are a heavy duty gauge (Cabanon 3 season] Josie , I see we're in the same neck of the woods[ Im in Sheffield
We are looking in the small ads now . many thanks.
we have the opposite problem, an awning frame but no canvas, we went away in august got the awning out of the bag, ( first time we had used it since getting the van last year ) and found the canvas was rotten so we have scrapped the canvas.
