We have like most a step that we put next to the door, and store it in the van.Is it possible to get them pull out ones that fit on the chassis instead.I have seen them and some are electric but it dont really say if they fit alko chassis.
i have one if these fold flat steps.. the next best thing to a pull out one i think.. it stores upside down inside the door on the carpet takes up no space and is always to hand..

We had a pull out step on one of our vans when we bought it and after two seasons of use you could see the floor flexing with it.
I pulled the caravan step out the way and my wife fell out the caravan. 4 hours in A & E. I was not very popular
i tour with my van so i cant just fill the inside up with junk and empty it all out into an awning when i get there..
everything must have its stowage place not be in the way.. stop open the door step inside and cook dinner..
a pull out step would suit me fine the fold flat one stored on the door mat is the next best thing.. i can step on it or spend a minute unfolding the legs and putting on the ground..
if i had the money to spare i would buy an eriba tourer they have thing like pull out steps to start with.. mind you they lack a few others things.. nothing is perfect.. he he..

We use a Milenco MGI step that is huge and sturdy and secure.
To store we merely turn it upside down and put inside door where it travels sometime inside a large black sack if wet, sometimes with the coiled EHU lead sitting in it which is then just inside door for arrival
It also doubles a s useful shoe putting on seat or even and extra seat if you have a lot of people in your awning
Knowing where the chassis runs underneath our van I wouldn't be happy with anything sticking that far across and out to stand on simply to save maybe 5 seconds a time?
Had a pull out step on my last van,it was very good until we stayed on a site with sloping pitches,by the time we had levelled the van,the step was so far off the ground,we had to buy a plastic folding step,to get in and out,the o/h has pins in her hip so finds it difficult to lift her leg
