We are going to be touring for a year in UK, Ireland and then France Italy and Spain. I have looked at Green Flag who appear to be the cheapest but will only cover us for 30 days in Europe. Any advice on recovery companies that will cover us for about 6 months in UK then 6 months in Europe. Also do Insurance companies give discount for being a member of a recovery company As we live in Jersey we don't need recovery and we will be new to caravaning.

Do you want full cover that will bring the caravan back if anything happens to it?

Most car policies wont cover things like the caravans brakes or wheelbearings failing.
They will tow the van if teh car breaks down but not if the caravan requires lifting.
