Realise this is not the right section but,changed my bottle today,the stockist said that he had only heard of the recall yesterday and that half of his newly delivered stock had gone already,so if you need to change do it ASAP

I changed mine at the Calor Depot at Haverton Hill yesterday.

The chap in front of me was doing the same thing. They made no bones about changing them even though it was 2 days earlier than their webpage said they'd be ready.

They did say that there was a run on 6Kg light bottles due to this so I'd advise anyone to get in quick.

I have 2 one nearly full and one nearly empty and guess which one was on the recall list? Sods law strikes again

yes I have 2008 one but started to ring round in Doncaster area looks like no supplies to exchange yet not in a panic for one yet I guess with 170,000 to change its a big job. malc1945

We changed ours yesterday, we have two, a nearly empty one & a full one, as David8858 said sods law the one replaced was the full one!
The reason for recall is they have found rust inside some of containers.

maybe the good old fashioned steel ones are better.. recalls like this kind of back up my thinking.. :)

in the (possible) event of accident damage to my gas bottles i know which type i would sooner have..

Changed mine at Stoke this morning, no trouble at all, just filled a little returns form with name address etc. Did me a favour really and saved me a few bob because it was almost emply. It used to be difficult to get hold of Calor lites but not now, there were loads of 'em in stock.
