Hi again another question , I did read above about the fridge comments, now am I right what I've seen posted that the fridge only works when connected to car, does this mean it will not stay on when not connected to car and there is no way to get over not doing this to run fridge , as it seems silly if so. I hope it's possible to over come this way so the car isn't connect all the time just for this. ?

Thanks to anyone whom answers me

Hi again and sorry for all this, just to state I hope I am not over doing it with all my posts and apologies if so, it's only that I'm new at all this and wants to learn everything possible to do with caravaning . It seems I have lots to learn and hope I'm not ruining everyone's doings here. Wow all this is new to me and is worrying me in many ways , that's why I'm willing to listen , see, learn anything possible.

So now I shall end and stop posting , once more to say thanks to all for any answers and help. Good day all 👍🏼

Hi Mrleejw and welcome to the site.

If the battery is flat it can take a day or so to recharge.
The fridge will work from 3 ways
1. 12volt from car when grey plug is plugged into car and the engine is running.
2. Mains 230volt electric on site via the electric hook up cable if you have one.
3. On gas

If you fit a really powerful sound system or TV that needs power connected all the time you will drain your battery unless it is on charge all the time. Be aware that if you are trying to charge the battery at the same time as this system is draining it, it may take a long time to recharge if it ever does at all.

Mrleejw

There is a small point of forum etiquette here. Its not generally considered appropriate to post your own queries in the middle of a thread started by someone else, as that can result in that persons question not being resolved - otherwise known as thread hi jacking.

It is always better to start your own thread, so topics are relevant when future users use the search function

As a newbie, I realise you may not have known, hence the reason for trying to help you post in the right way, not one of intending to be rude.

It doesn't matter how old a thread is, it remains a source of information for members, and having more than one topic in the same thread can make things very confusing.

For this reason, hi jacking a thread is not considered good form, so I hope you accept this in the spirit which was intended. Unless you are posting to help another member, it is generally better to start a new thread

The problem wth starting a new thread on a simlar topic isyou then get posters pointing out that the topic has been discussed at length before and providing a link to the previous discussion, so you ultimately finish up "hijacking the original"
