Our toilet has always worked fine until now, and all of a sudden, it doesn't flush when we press it. We love our caravan and take it away many times in a year, but we know nothing technical about them. We have always been lucky until now.We have 2 problems and the first is the C-200 S Thetford toilet.
We have all the instruction books but cannot make head nor tail of them. Please help [IMG]
My money is on the solenoid valve failing. When you press the switch, does the pump run? If so it will be the solenoid valve not allowing the water to pass into the bowl. This can be replaced but is tricky to get at. The instructions are on the web somewhere, and the valve is about £35.00. Good luck.
It could be as simple as the fuse has blown. Ours is in the toilet locker alongside the battery holder.
After the van had stood for only a short while, the pump seemed to have stuck and blew the fuse. We replaced it and away it went again.
Ours was a car type blade fuse, available from most garages/ petrol stations etc, but you can check it by pulling it out and holding it up to the light to see if the internal wire is intact or "blown"
Take out the waste tank and have a look inside the waste compartment.
have a look at this picture and you will see a white componant and a fuse check this and look again and you will see two wires just above the fuse, check that they are still connected or not badly corroded.
