So we went today, had a fab time, it was nice to meet seasoned caravaners that were willing to pass on experience and give some really good advice.
We even sat and had a cup of tea with one such couple and they gave us lots of information, and even a list of places quite local to us for weekend trips.
So now we just have to decide on which van fits the bill, although Lunar are looking a favourite at the moment.
We were there yesterday and took a lot of information away with us. Liked the Xplore range from Elddis and particularly in the way that many manufacturers are looking at weight saving. Everyone under the age of 34 and many more are at the 3500 Kg unit + car limitation, unless they have passed the towing test. Great show!
------------- The Sun always shines on TV.(and not on my caravan!)
We were planning to get another one with poles, but as there will only be the 2 of us going away from next year, we won't have a teenager to hold the third leg! I was looking at one with poles and the sales man was trying to persuade me that the inflatables are the awnings of the future. I wasn't convinced until we found a really sturdy one attached to a lunar van in the Wandahome section. It was very thick polyester, so hopefully it will last. The only thing that put me off them was that most of the inflatable awnings, including the one we bought, were grey. A nice burgundy one would be much nicer.
