I have a 1997 caravan with a Thetford cassette toilet. The electric flush does not work. I have taken out the cassette to try and replace the fuse but I cannot find it, or where it goes. Can any help?? what type of fuse is it??
When you remove the tank , you can usually see the fuse in the base of where you have removed the tank. I have on more than one occasion had problems with the flush .. I have removed fuse and simply cleaned it with a bit of sand paper. In fact a friend of mine went out and purchased a new pump, only to find the fuse simply needed cleaning. It tends to get oxidised being in a damp atmosphere. Hope ypou get it sorted.

Just had a look with flashlight and I cannot see any fuse at all. I is a car type blade fuse which you push up into a slot. Also, I cannot see a pump either, how do you access the pump on these things? Any help here greatly appreciated.
tte toilet fuse- remove the waste holding tank and lookin at the
left hand side of the cavity just behinde the contact switch there will be
either a blade fuse 3 amp or a black screw type fuse holder whitch holds a 3 amp glass fuse both readily available from your local dealer.
If I were you I would tackle the pump first it is easy. From inside the van remove the toilet roll holder that is part of the bench, it just pulls out no screw, it can be a bit tight so a very gentle bit of prying may help. Once it is out you will see the pump, just make sure that the impellor at the bottom turns easily, if you do not do this then the moment you try it after you replace the fuse the new fuse will blow.
If you want more information just do a Google search gir thetford C2 toilet, or ring thetford support they are very very helpful and know their stuff.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
If its a Thetford C2 cassette toilet, check the fuse shown pink in the picture and the two wires either side of it have a good connection.
Another thing to try, the two wires on the right of the picture, remove the connector and touch the 2 spades that the removed connecter exposes together for a split second with a screwdriver, if the pump runs you will know that the pumps is ok.
