Hi, how do you rate the awning, we've been looking at this vs the Kampa and can't decide
i bought a vango varkala 420 in march with our new van, went up a treat, looked really good, put it up again in may in a light breeze and had problems with the material turning on air tubes and the wind blowing it down, back to vango via dealer, got it back, said a problem with the air tubes, went away and tried it again no different so back to dealers who was going to replace awning but i rejected it and got a deal on a conventional steel framed dorema awning.I took loads of photos of the awning as proof of the defects with it. the concept is brilliant, goes up and pegged in 20 mins as opposed to 1 hour to errect my new awning, size 17. I see in the latest caravan mag that vango have a new air awning called the braemar 420 so is this a modified varkala.

We have not encountered a problem with it collapsing in the wind yet despite it being up in a blustery gale.
However I took a look at the 2015 Braemar which seems to be a replacement for the Sanna which I believe they phasing out, and while looking noticed they are now doing a 150 cm version of both the Varkala and the Braemar, thinking the 150cm Varkala would make a ideal winter porch.
