We want to give the caravan a proper wash and protect it before putting the cover on for the winter.
What do you use?
Have you used Fenwicks Over Winter solution?
Thanks
Protec covers recommend that you wash and polish with a non wax polish before covering. They say any movement of the cover will spot buff the paintwork. Lets not talk about covers its a dodgy subject
Absolutely! Given vans are not covered whilst towing, being used, or sat in a dealers; just what is the point of a cover the rest of the time - unless you are next to a cement factory, that is? And even then, the smart money would be to move away from said factory altogether!
I just give it a wash off with normal car shampoo then put a cut off version (normal caravan skirt cut to about 5/6 inches) of skirt round the full awning rails (both sides near and off sides) deflects the rain water from running down the sides of the van and no black streaks.

Good tip. Its the streaks that are the worst aspect. Does it completely stop them?
Mick S yes never had a streak used this method for many a year looks a bit daft to onlookers who pass but it is very effective. cost wise, one off cost of X meters of caravan skirt then it last for years plus obviously will fit ant van new or old so even if you change van its still there.

Ok, may give it a go. Though its going to take determination to buy a skirt then chop it up.
I know this is a good bit more expensive, but it's made for the job.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
