Hi everyone, do I need different insurance from our touring insurance tomhave my van on a seasonal pitch. New are currently insured with tha CC. Thanks for your help in advance.

I dont know if you HAVE to have different insurance but I have specific insurance for my seasonal. It works out much cheaper as I told them I wont tow at all. I am with Lifesure.
When I shopped around for quotes a lot of caravan insurance, aimed at tourers, would not have been relevant to me and I wondered if the cover would be invalid for example questions about storage and place its kept. I could answer all the lifesure questions confident it covered my situation - my van is on my pitch full time.
I hope that helps.

I have been looking for this type of insurance too. Not had much luck. If you find somewhere please let me know. I have not tried the caravan clubs because we are not members.
I have just seasonal insurance, which means just that, it is insured for that particular site unless you state otherwise, I went with K drewe (again) less than £180 for a twin axle Inc £1000 awning cover. The norm for most insurers is £500.
Last year we were on a seasonal site and because I could not guarantee the gate was shut at night I had great difficulty in finding insurance. However, I did manage eventually with Simple Caravan Insurance who assured me that they insured regardless of whether or not the gate was shut at night. Then when we brought it home at the end of October I just gave them a call to change the storage address.
------------- Wish I could go camping more and not have to work for a living!!!

I'm with the C & cc insurance and I'm not a member (a bit more expensive). You don't specify where your van will be as long as its in the uk, unlike other insurers who ask specifically. I checked with them.
