Hi There,

can anybody suggest a good filler for the above. I have an alfa mirage static caravan and need to fill around the pipe. The pipe goes through the floor-probably obvious that but am just starting out! Any help very much appreciated!

You could use expanding foam from the likes of BnQ or cheaper at a builders merchants..

Expanding polyurethane foam will do the trick. Just have plenty of waste cloths about when you use it, it is horrible sticky stuff and rarely stops coming out from the nozzle when you want it too. Let it set then trim the excess off from around the pipe.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

And be sure to wear the disposable gloves that come with the aerosol, because it sticks to everything.

Expanding foam will work.
It isn't 100% water tight, people seem to think it is.

Dont worry about the mess. DON'T try wiping or cleaning any mess. Leave it to dry and it will pick off, wipe it and its there forever.

It will expand upto 60% i think.
Too much wont hurt. Once dried it can be cut easily with a hacksaw blade or knife.

Or use fix all for it to be waterproof.

It couldn't of been fitted correctly then. Not enough fixings and no packers.

All the time there is some where for it to expand it cant harm.
I use it in the building and window fitting industry all the time.
