Hi i want to put a tv bracket in my caravan, i have a spare triple arm one that was used for 19" tv in my sons room that i am considering using rather than paying £40 for a vision branded caravan one. Ive weighed it and its 2.6lb. Opinions please.... TIA
It seems a little heavy, remember the weight of the tv on the end,if you use it remember to put a decent thickness backing plate on the other side of the wall using bolts and nuts, that does limit the position,I put a tv in the bedroom.I bolted the plate inside a cupboard so it was hidden from veiw.

If its a Flat Panel TV it will have vesa mount threaded holes in the back so you can screw a vesa plate to it.
You can mount the mating part of the plate on the triple arm. Quick release ones mounts are available so you can dismount it when travelling. RAM make lots of mobile mounting bracketry for all kinds of things. A flat panel tv is essentially a computer monitor for all practival purposes.
The one i have has a wall plate bracket that you screw or bolt to the wall then the arm slots on to it so we can remove it when travelling. I was just concerned about the weight of the bracket really. The tv is only 16 " 12 volt one so very light in comparison to the bracket..
I fixed my tv bracket to the side of the box around the chimney from the gas fire (a 2010 Swift Conqueror 480. I have bit of duct tape stuck on the back of the tv, carefully avoiding and ventilation slots, this tape has a hole in it. I have a big chunk of polystyrene with a bent bit of wire attached, also by duct tape. This wire hooks to the tape on the tv. I than cover it all in an old pillowcase and hook it back with a bungee strap, it seems safe enough and works well.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
