Can someone please help me I have a new bradcot Classic awning that we brought for our 2008 buccaneer clipper twin axle size 1050 and after using it twice have traded The van in for a 2012 coachman vip 560/4 and wondered if our awning will fit? Bradcot recommend a 1035 will this matter?
Your awning should fit, though it may be a tiny bit loose. The 1050 awnings are made to fit a rail that is 1037 to 1062 and at 1035 you are only 2 cm out

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Thank you for replying I am new to this site and glad I signed up and yes I'm sure it will be fit fine save us some penny's that is was the sales guy said too but wasn't sure if he was just doing his sales thing on the new van 😃 looking forward to our first trip now happy caravanning I hope.
Most awning sizes come in a range with a good few centimeters tolerance. You are only 15cm away from recommended size so it should look absolutely fine.
My awning rail size in the handbook is 886 cms. and they always advise to go slightly bigger just in case the ground slopes away from the caravan door so the material can still be pegged out. However, as a guide, I have a 900 cms. Dorema awning which is 14 cms. bigger and it fits absolutely perfectly. I would consider that the awning you have will fit your new unit but like others have said, it's always best to try it and see how it looks. The extra 15 cms. is only 6 inches so it's only 3 inches either end which you should find you can still peg out quite easily. If the ground slopes upwards any time then you can always drive the caravan up on ramps before hand to take up the extra slack if need be but judging that comes down to experience.
I would agree --- 3" either end should be fine, but I would try it out. If you're not happy you could always get it altered. Here for example. They do an excellent job.
