Personally I would first find what is the best deal I can get, before I go to the Show.
Then at the Show see if you can get a much better deal, if not then you have had a nice day out and maybe a stay in a hotel, the overall cost of which will be peanuts compared to what you are about to spend on a new caravan.
As the old saying goes "Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained"
When we last went to the Show in 2014 we used the Ibis Hotel at Bardsley Circus, which is next door to the now closed Formule1 Hotel. cheap do at £30 for the night.
The previous year we used the Premiere Classe at Coventry, very cheap at £22, but would never use it again.
