Hello all, does anyone have any experience with Lifesure insuance cover on there caravan. They are coming out the cheapest for a like for like quote at the minute. Just wondered if they are cheaper for a reason that's all. Thanks
Cheapest is not always the best in the event of a claim. We have previously used the CC insurance and Towergate and found both deal with claims promptly.

Sorry I can't answer your question directly but have a look at who the underwriters are and if they are not a reputable company such as 'Axa' or 'Royal Sun Alliance' for example then I would be cautious insuring your caravan with them. There are several touring caravan insurances on the market but one company to stay well away from is E&L (Equestrian & Livestock) as members of this forum over the past years have submitted some bad feedback especially when making a claim. I and several members on this forum are with 'Caravan Guard' who's underwriters are 'Royal Sun Alliance' which they have a good reputation for sorting claims out quickly. Also, there's no robotic push button malarkey when you contact them as you speak directly to a person without any hassle.
Thanks for replies I am with C&cc at the minute just looking around and Lifesure keeps popping up. I know cheapest may not be best that's why I asked if anyone has had dealings with them. Will take advice and look up underwriters, thanks.
I had to make one large claim with Caravan Guard - it Went through really smoothly with no problems at all. I was also pleasantly surprised that my premium didn't increase the following year.
Lifesure used to be under written by Lloyds when I was with them but think now AXA who do a lot of cars insurances.
Cheaper with Alko wheel lock and hitch lock by 10/15percent.
NFU is very good for car van and house get 10 percent reduction each year so cancels out annual rise of about 8 percent for every year no claims but did not want to know me for car insurance at 70. had a claim with them for van written off, had brand new van in 4weeks new van was better than old model with more extras free. they gave agent money to look for replacement van and he did trade deal with Dealers. I just had to go and pick up about 60/70 miles round trip if bought local would have got inferior van
