Ours is an "oldie" too. Not quite 70s, but still quite old, 1988 we think. It suits us just fine, because it didn't cost us a fortune to buy, it tows great with our old car, but it has most of the modern features of current vans. The only thing it doesn't have that modern vans do, is a built-in oven. I could fit one, but we used a small electric oven (£25 from Argos) and it served us fine all last year.
I have done a few personalisations, replaced the kitchen taps, a front window, and renewed the water inlet. Over-all cost so far, including buying the caravan and replacing the tyres, somewhere around £700. I doubt we would lose much if we decided to sell it, which we won't for a long time yet I hope, as long as we remain fit enough to enjoy using it.
------------- Best Regards,
Colin
