Long story short I purchased a caravan a few months ago and even though it has a motor mover fitted the remote will not light up.
The mover powers up and I am not concerned about the control box or mover at this time but I'm just finding it impossible to get the led on the Reich remote to power up. It is the older type remote like a big cigarette box - black with a dark blue front and red buttons,
Any advice welcomed .
I have been in touch with Reich and Dave said probably knacked, as it may be the ribbon connector.
Anyone else had a problem like this??? Many thanks...
I had to have a new remote control after several years when I owned a Reich Move Control. I also had problems with the main control box although that was sent back to Reich UK for repair. Do you have the long cable that fits between the two controllers? if you do you might be able to control the mover that way.

Yippee got it sorted as Dave from reich said it was probably the ribbon connector from the on/off button to the circuit board and therefore useless
I Took it to work last night as I had nothing to lose and stripped it, I placed 2 diode wires into the interface at the opposite side where the on/off ribbon connector goes I arced these together in quick succession with a terminal and it lit up.
Glued the diode wires in place then soldered 2 wires to these then finally joined these to a external switch,
Unfortunately I could not find a pressure switch small enough so put a toggle switch on the side.
Wireless works fine david just tried it.
