How small do you want it? If you want a small fixed bed caravan you will have to go for a foreign make. I think its only Sterckeman that have a UK distributor. Google for website.

You would think that manfacturers would do a van that has smaller seating so that a fixed bed could go in a smaller van. after all if you need a lie down there would be a bed. They do small seating and a table for 6 berths. They could do one that uses this kind of seating with a fixed bed.
It just seems that to have a fixed bed manufacturers seem to think you have to have four people in the van.
Just to say kids left home but still want a fixed bed.
I agree Caroline. We would like one too, as there is only the two of us, but we can only afford an oldie. What we have done is buy a 4 berth and leave the double made up. We use the other end for our meals if we have to eat inside. We can't have a large van as we don't have the room.
We have an adria. They are European but made for uk and have uk dealers. We saw One of theirs in the altea range when we were looking that had a different fixed bed layout that wasn't massive. Here is one - not sure when they started with the model so if you are able to get a cheaper older one. Caravan
The smallest caravans from UK makers are all front dinette rear kitchen layout. Foreign makers do some some small models with layouts that incorporate front single dinette & rear across caravan double bed. If this layout was demanded by UK buyers then makers would produce them.
If you look on Adria Dutch website, they offer small fixed bed models. Adria UK does not offer any small fixed beds, its possible they could order a non UK spec model, I suppose? The only foreign maker that distributes in UK & offer small fixed bed model is Sterckeman, I think. Otherwise one would have to buy abroad, which some do & is not difficult.
Apart from the Adria with the fixed front bed the smallest fixed bed model we found was the Bailey Ranger 460/4. I think there was a similar model in the Orion range and there was a fixed bed Venus model of similar size.
The bailey ranger 460/4 is probably as small as you can go and a very good van. Some clever touches to increase the kitchen for instance with a big flap which drops down over the bed for extra work space. I think there was a Sprite Alpine of similar size and layout.
hi when I was looking for mine the smallest and lightest I could get was the sprite alpine 4. I have had couple of seasons now and love the fixed bed. Hope this helps.
