I've just bought a swift challenger,the tail off the inbuilt governor is for a 4kg butane bottle and clearly butane won't do for winter time.my question is will the governor do both gasses or do need a new governor?

If you mean the bulkhead regulator, it will handle both types of gas, but you'll need a high-pressure "pigtail" between cylinder and regulator to suit the different cylinder fitting.

Is the governor the regulator? The appliances in the van work ok on both gas pressures but the bottle connectors are different. I think.

Cheers Bob, I bought the pigtail today for the propane, but I was unsure of the governor doing both gasses as my old van was a 1994 so it's just a bit different.
