Hi, we have a Bailey Pageant that we are giving a makeover, we've had the seating re-upholstered and I'm in the process of making new curtains but we want to modernise the lighting.
The van currently has 11 gold spotlights (with switch) & 4 without a switch, I'm guessing the easiest thing to do would be to replace like for like with silver spotlights but we feel the van has too many lights we've only used a couple at the same time which was fine for us, it would be like Blackpool Illuminations with them all on. I'm looking for advice to what other options we may have?
I altered the lights in my caravan as it only had a non-functioning gas light and a halogen strip light in when I bought it (I have a very old van!)
I fitted 2 directional LED 12v strip lights - one over the kitchen area and one in the centre of the ceiling.
I also fitted mains electric and added 2 wall lights with individual switches.
I would suggest you replace all the lights in your van with something more modern looking. Just because they are there doesn't mean you have to use them all.
It may look messy if you remove lights and just leave holes and wires and the manufacturer obviously thought carefully about the number of lights in the van and their position.
