I'm having a hard time finding a site to store the caravan I'm collecting in two weeks. The CASSOA site only lists one within 20 miles of my post code and they have no spaces. I've called a couple of other numbers that have come up on Google and they don't even do caravan storage (they are either just regular storage or just a caravan site that will rent seasonally.)

I don't need state-of-the-art security as the 'van is very old and not worth much (I paid £300 for it.)

Can anyone help? I'm looking at Oldham, Rochdale, Saddleworth, and anywhere on the East side of the Greater Manchester area. Bury would also be fine by me.

I'm afraid so, Bessie. But, that's my fault for mixing up East and West!

Thus far I've got one in Bolton - a bit out of the way and pretty much in the opposite direction of where I'm most likely to go.

Hoping to get ahold of someone at Failsworth Leisure Storage.

Whew! I got a spot at Failsworth. It's not the cheapest but it's very conveniently located.

I kept getting confused because there is no mention of caravan storage on their web site - it's a furniture store or something.

I called Kendalls - they were full, but friendly.

I ended up getting a spot at Housing Units in Chadderton. A couple of people mentioned them but when I Googled I was thrown off because it's clearly a homewares department store. There's no mention of leisure storage online. But I finally called and was put through to the guy. Got their last space this morning.

My friend stores her caravan at Housing Units and has had no problems. I may have dreamt this but I think they also have facilities for washing your caravan.
Narrowgate Farm Royton stores vans but I think they have a waiting list.

They have leaflets for a mobile caravan detailing outfit that will come and give it a wash. I'm going to have the most basic wash done to remove the green algae that has grown on mine.
