I have read your other thread and you said that you are unsure how to use a noseweight gauge. The link below should give a guide how to use one.

140 nose weight is very high, not many vehicles can take that much load.

You know from your last thread your nose weight is 75kg and you have been shown how to use a nose weight gauge so I'm not sure what the issue is, you can't resoove it on a forum you need to load your van up and weigh it. If you can't get it to 75kg don't tow it. When loading don't move heavy items to the rear to try and reduce the weight, this will provide an unstable tow. Heavy items on the floor over the axle is best.

Even so, reducing the noseweight is a bad idea. It won't be designed for 140kg though. I think Alko hitches are limited to 100kg. We have a Coachman Laser that runs at 95.

If it's shown as unsuitable, that tells you all you need to know. The 85 per cent is a different issue. There are several factors to consider when assessing a tow match, and noseweight is a very importantt one, affecting stability as it does.

For me, it wouldn't work.

hi just ben on to Glossop jim and they say the report is wrong the towbar weight is 105 not 140 this is the reply on the chat I got
Steve

Your report is wrong. there is not a single axle caravan that is built that is 140kg nose

is this the case because even on the report it has 2 different weights the top one and one further down on the coachman van

It was pointed out to you in a thread yesterday morning that the noseweight of your caravan needs to be between around 75kg & 100kg so Glossop man is only telling you what you already knew from reading this forum.

Also pointed out yesterday was that as your car only allows 75kg you need to set the noseweight of your caravan at 75kg.

I think you need to stop looking at computer generated car/caravan matching sites & take advice only from ukcs.
