depends on the size of the caravan I guess, but would have thought it lacked much power to warm the average van, once warm tho could possibly manage but they do take a long while to warm through

I had the bambino too, heats great, throws out more than you think. Unfortunately it stopped working so I'm in the market for a heater also. I was looking at a convector just cos its cheaper.
We have a delonghi also and it works a treat, heats our 6 berth Adria up in no time, (as only got gas) 1500w max with 500w and 1000w other settings. ideal for drying towels and coats etc. When not in van can be found in awning, again for basic towel drying etc.
We have a Quest .7 kilowatt which we used in our Geist 4.8m van and never used anything else as we did not need anything else.
We have just got back from Bridlington with our new 2 year old van and only used the electric side of heater and to be honest I was very disappointed with output with the heater on a 1000w and fan on 3 the heat from the punkahs would not take the chill of the van when switched to 2000w we had to keep turning off to make a cup of tea using a Elecy travel kettle. The 240v trip kept dropping out. So our Huge fridge/freezer, 240v reduced to 15v tele 2000w heating, battery charger + 1kw kettle is a no no.
Turned fire to gas position 2 fan on 3 warm as toast no trip outs last night only.
Will take oil filled next trip out see how we get on.
well with that lot on naturlist123 I wouldn't know of any site that can cope with that! its not a fault of the van but one of the site you went on soundslike you only had a 10 amp supply
also on electric it doesn't matter what setting you put it to the heating still takes a long while to warm up, your best running on gas when you first turn up to get it warmed thoroughly and then switch over to electric
