We are going to putbour awning up for the season when we get it from april to oct we noticed on tthe seasonal pitches some people have pallets down that have been boarded over has anyone done this our floor will measure 6x2.5 where would we start with pallets we have seen others with proper floor down .which is the more inexpensive option x
I have been seasonal pitched now for 11 yrs, My pitch is gravel 20mm & 10mm on top of that to make it easier to level the pitch, I have rubber lining down(son is a floor screeder so got it for nothing, then Visqueen Vapour Barrier x2 on top, Then i have my ground sheets, and on top of all that a carpet,I get no condensation at all, and the awning keeps warmer.Easy to hoover and the cats cant get out.

We were seasonal for 5 years and our flooring was fantastic - a little bit of work but or so snug. Gravel was permanent, on top of that timber frame (not as difficult as it sounds) followed by sheets of treated strand board which we also gave 3 coats of varnish, all screwed down and topped with a semi industrial rubber backed carpet. It sounds horrendous but was easily put down and taken up by hubby in 1 day. At the end of the season all was piled up neatly and covered with a tarpaulin. Really lovely to walk on and hoover.
I am on a seasonal pitch for the first time and have just finished doing the floor in the awning.
Pitch is gravel so we laid an old tarp down and then a wooden frame topped with decking boards. On top of that I have laid artificial grass mats from Lidl (in stock now at £4.99 each)
It is really cosy in the awning now and the mats are easy to keep clean.
