Hi,
Can anyone shed any light on why my watch seems to stop every time we go away in the caravan. Everyday it keeps good time except the days we go away. Last night it lost 6 hours, the night before about 4 hours. I have tried leaving it in different places after taking it off and it doesn't seem to make much difference.
Some weekends are better than other, sometimes it is fine but usually we have some issue. Would be interested if anyone else has the same problem and what it could be causing it.
Thanks
It's not a wind up as I used to have a similar problem with a specific watch of mine whenever we went away on holiday. However, this was before we had a touring caravan when I used to take my late parents away in a hired static caravan for a week but every year was exactly the same but for some strange reason it stopped several times whenever we visited Great Yarmouth. I went to a watch jewellers on the High Street whilst there and had the battery replaced but the problem continued to which the shop attendant made a spooky joke about it all and even he didn't know what the problem was. Strangely enough, the watch performed normally when we returned home and never did find out what caused it to slow or stop and merely put it down to atmospherics at coastal areas and never thought any more of it till I read your post. I thought mine was just a strange isolated case and although I still have the watch today I haven't wore it for at least 10 years as I now use the car or mobile phone for the time when away from home.
I ought to put a new battery in and test it later in the year when we go to Swanage and see how it performs.

I'm not going mad then!!
The odd thing is, my partners watch doesn't suffer at all.
I can knock up a'la Carte food at home but loose the ability to cook in the caravan, so much so that we have to have fish'n'chips and BBQs, can't figure it out !!!!! :)

I think my mother in law keeps visiting us in our van. Stuff keeps getting moved around and hidden, then turning up a few days later in the original place that the object had been placed.
(She's been dead over 12 years now!)
SWMBO went to see a spiritualist last week and her mother told the spitualist that she enjoyed going off in the van with us!
You never know who's watching.

That's what happens when you have too much time on your hands.
