well decided to purchase an outdoor air awning, very easy to put up the only problem is it only stays inflated for about 30 mins after that it lands on your full glass of Rioja, comments please.......
Would suspect the valve or one of the airtube. We have a Trigano Air 390 and it's great second season now with no problems love it don't be put off.

We bought a Bradcot air awning. Pumped it up Thursday, still as strong now. No complaints so far. It's like everything else, you will hear the complaints, not necessarily the satisfied customers

Thanks guys think it's the valve so taking it back tomorrow for a replacement as its got a lifetime guarantee, just a bit disheartened as its our first time with a van and awning!
Has anyone managed to sort out the 'plumbing' so you can use the 12v Tyre Compressor (like the one I carry in the car for the caravan and car wheels) to inflate them?
I'm not as young as I once was and our 390 air awning took more blowing up than the salesman indicated

I can set the digital compressor to 7 psi no probs so all I need to work out is the plumbing bit.
I'm afraid it's unlikely to be suitable. Your pump is a high pressure, low volume pump ie. It can pump up to a high pressure (probably 100psi or more) but only pushes out a small volume. The pumps designed for the job (I have one) comprise of 2 separate pumps; a high volume initially, similar to an air bed pump but then switch over near the end of the process to a high pressure, similar to your pump. You'd be better off using an electric air bed pump then swapping over to the supplied pump to finish off.
I received my Vango Varkala 420 last week , its bulkier than I thought I haven't had a chance to put it up yet , but I was thinking where do you hang coats , on my old awning with steel poles I had hooks that went over the poles , it looks like the only way is the back of a chair ,
I think that like any piece of equipment some will be good and some will not. We are returning ours because it leaked like a sieve. The one we bought was heavy and bulky and needed very precise peggng out to get it snug to the van. Our ordinary awning is far more forgiving, and no gaps between the van and awning. It is also much quieter in the wind. These things are not cheap, and we have decided to wait to see if the technology improves before buying another one.
Our Bradcot came with a 12v pump. although I think that was a "special" for the NEC show.
