Sorry if this has been on before. My DH said he noticed a lot of vans that had towing covers on,whilst he was on the roads today.

Do any of you good people use them? are they worth while?

We use a towing cover as the front of van nice and clean when you arrive on site and no stone chips tar etc. We first used one with our Bailey caravan with the alutech body as it tended to chip easily and now have one from specialised covers for our new van.

We have one from specialised covers for the front of ours. Wouldn't be without it. Keeps the front clean and chip free. Very easy to fit on too.

They do seem to be far more popular now and I have seen quite a few this year.

It's on my never ending list of things to buy for the van.

Can anyone who has one advise how long they take to put on ?
Do they take up much space when removed ?

We haven't yet but I want one, our storage site is muddy and the van gets blasted in mud as soon as we hit the road and put our foot down.

I have looked at specialised and pro-tec, but unfortunately neither of them do a custom cover for our Adria.

Does anyone have experience of the generic covers ?
Do they fit tight to the van ?

Tow pro + from specialised takes 2 minutes to fit or remove. Carrier bag size space to store. Not cheap but well worth it.

I have just bought a Specialise cover their top of the range. It is excellent fits in minutes.

I had all the companies send me samples of the materials used and straight away you can tell where the cost comes from. Would never tow without one now.

I thought about one of these, but why oh why are they far more expensive than a full caravan cover?

you might have an issue clever as Adria don't have an awning rail on the off side. Most of the covers I've seen use the rail each side to secure themselves

Ours has a rail on both sides.
