HI all,
Went to change the dead battery in my caravan battery SAS sergeant alarm,on my 2006 caravan, got it screwed off the floor, got the case screwed apart, disconnected red and black connectors, but could not get the twin connectors off,or the actual battery off the frame as it seems it is stuck to the metal frame. The battery has not been changed before so it is dead.Has anyone replaced the battery on this alarm, and also are they readily available in the caravan dealers accessories department ? I think the battery is 3.3 A H lead acid. Thanks for any replies,
TROUTER

I can't quite picture which you mean by twin connectors; do you mean on the battery itself (spade terminals), or where the battery wiring connects to the board itself?
Maybe a photo would be useful as replacement battery will be partly dependent on whether it's a bespoke or 'off-the-shelf' product.
As for fitting, some batteries were stuck with large adhesive pads, some tie-wrapped into place.
I would suggest you contact Sargent directly for advice for your specific alarm, as I've always found their Tech dept very helpful.

Firstly get the batt. off internet lots of places do them and a lot cheaper. If you go on sargent website you can print out all the instructions for it and it tells you how to set it up. They are screwed to the floor and the batts are stuck in cover. The wires have plugs so no prob. Just make sure you go through the set up sequence or it will not work
