Hi.
We have no instructions for our Swift Rapide 380 GXL Caravan. Does anyone know what the switch on the side of the seating nearest the gas heater is for please?
Also, we have managed to get our rear lights working, the connectors that hold the bulbs in place are so brittle most have broken. Not sure if these can be replaced? The Fog light and the outside light over the door does not work at all, we have checked the bulbs and fuses. We would appreciate any help.

Is it a mains type switch with red light on it ? We have a 1994 baronette and it has an immersion heater switch in roughly the same place. Would really need to see a pic of bulb holder. Have you checked connectors to lamps with a test lamp or multimeter

For a caravan of that age I would just replace complete rear light units. You may not get oringinal type so you might have to do some diy adapting. Make a note of wire colours when you remove old units so you get wiring correct for new.

The black plug (12n) may be corroded as well. They don't last well outdoors but are only a couple of pounds to replace. Often cures light problems.
