Hi everyone, Really hope you can help I want to buy an Isabella awning but Haven't a clue about size my van is series 6 bailey pageant champagne and has a measurement of 988cms The Isabella G18 goes from 975-990 and the G19
from 1000. this is the one they say I should buy - but why when my measurement is within the range of the G18. Can anyone help PLEASE and thanks in advance.
Jenny
The reason why the upper size is recommended is because if the ground slopes away from the caravan door then it can be difficult to peg out which then basically requires the extra material to be able to use the awning. If the ground slopes upwards you can always pull the caravan up onto ramps to take up any slack so either way the awning can still be used.
To put it a nut shell, if need be you can always gain the extra height by pulling the caravan up on to ramps but you can't dig a pair of holes for the wheels to drop in to to make the caravan lower in order for the awning to fit so the G19 would be the best choice.
Alternatively you could measure the awning rail yourself by the method shown in the link.
