We are a family of 4 and have a Bailey Orion 430/4 which we love. Or problem is in the evening our boys are at the front of the van watching dvd's and we sit up on the bed at the back and read and also have a glass or 2 or 3 of wine and maybe some nibbles as well. The only shelf to rest your wine glass is a way above and behind your head and it makes it very difficult to take the glass from the shelf have a sip and put it back on the shelf again without spilling any on your head.
So I am asking do any of you have the same problem? and how do you deal with it. I was thinking of making up a removable shelf that I could hang over the window beside the bed and we can remove when it is time to sleep, but not to sure what to use to make it with yet. If any of you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

If you look at the clothes airers that hook on to the outside of the window you could make a shelf that hooks over in a similar way. The window would have to be slightly open to do this. We had a similar problem in our old caravan and thought of doing this, but never got around to it.

how about one of those hospital tables patients use to eat their meals off.

you can even get a model where 75% of table folds down when not in use.

some come on wheels others have just speed frame feet should slide in slots under bed by drop out vents.

We had the same problem so i fixed a beech wood effect corner shelf.
