I'm considering an air awning and narrowed the choice down to the Kampa range, but would be interested to hear from current owners, specifically of the Rally Air 330 and/or Fiesta model, and from owners experienced of both the pole models too.

Due to the placement of windows and door, I'm favouring the 330 model which will fit without covering any of the windows. I may need to occasionally use an inner though, and while Kampa state their inner doesn't fit the 330, I have heard of someone using an inner with this size model. Any input from other users?

Alternatively, I might consider the Fiesta Air Pro which can have an annexe, but again would welcome opinion from owners of either.

Finally, I'd be interested of comments from users who've swapped from the traditional pole Kampa Rally to the Kampa Air.

We have the inner for the Rally Air Pro 390, it hangs between teo airbw=eams which are 130cm apart. I guess you could lengthen the toggle to fit between your airbeams.......as long as the rings are already attached to the awning. An alternative would be a pup tent in the awning?
We had a traditional awning, not Kampa and only put it up for a minimum of a week. We do a lot of week-ends now and the air takes no time to put up and peg out, and take down again.

We have a Kampa Daly Air Pro 260 and are really pleased with it. Each section on the 390 and 260 is 130cm so the inner tent must be made to fit this whereas the 330 only has 2 sections so they must be 165, I would think you might be able to adapt it to fit. Can't comment on traditional pole awnings as never had one. We chose the air type after hearing of awnings coming loose and the poles damaging caravans. A pup tent might be your answer.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.

Just check that you have the little rings attached to the awning otherwise there is no means to attach the inner.

Thanks for the replies. Been out looking at the other contenders and it does seem that Kampa offer the better product and the 330 is the likely choice due to caravan layout. Funnily enough, I considered a pup after making the post.

I can't remember the exact measurement, but the 330 beams are spaced slightly closer than 165cm (must be down to design), but the inner tent idea isn't a show stopper.

There's only a few draw backs I'm not keen on with the Kampa; when either front panel is removed there's still a fabric 'upstand' that poses a trip hazard (IMO) and I prefer zipped blinds over the velcro fitted type , but I guess it's unlikely I'm going to find something that ticks all the boxes.

Does this year's model not have "proper" curtains? The 2013 model had "upstands" at wither door and these were removed in the updated 2014 model, which we have. I only mention this because I can't recall an upstand on our middle panel (we have the 390).

On the current model I've seen, there are curtains on the front only and velcro fastened 'blinds' with tie-backs on the side panels.
The curtains only apply to the 'Plus' range, which incidentally is the only model that Kampa produce the 330 sized air awning in. The standard Rally Air comes in at 260 and 390 only.
