Hi, I used to use BP Gas lite in my old (year 2000) caravan. I connected it to the caravan using a red regulator supplied with the caravan, by the dealer at the time of purchase 5 years ago. Everything worked fine and I liked the weight saving.
I have just purchased a year 2013 Swift Challenger SE 480. The dealer told me that I could use BP Gas lite. The caravan has a regulator fitted to it and I'm told that we can no longer use the old system of fitting a regulator to the gas bottle itself. The caravan comes with what I think is called a 'pig tail.' One end is screwed into the regulator attached to the caravan, the other has a threaded nut to connect it to the gas bottle. I can find no way of connecting it to my BP Gas Lite bottle.
The Swift handbook does recommend BP Gas lite.
Is there anybody out there that can tell me how I should be making the connection.
You need a pol to 27mm clip adaptor. Look here. You need to buy the pol to butane adaptor & the 27mm Clip-On Adaptor. Screw those together & the pol connector on your pigtail will screw into adaptor & you can use your GasLite bottle.

Thanks for that Billy X, problem now solved because of your advice.
That just shows the value of this forum. When I bought the caravan I told the dealer that I used BP Gaslight. They provided the pigtail and told me it would fit, of course it didn't and I was flummoxed (nice word.) One quick question on here and problem solved simply.
Just re read your op, you say pigtail has 'threaded nut' on end? Pol connector for Calor bottle is male threaded. If you do have threaded nut that should screw straight onto 27mm clip adaptor without need for the additional pol to butane bit.
I went to the Caravan dealer and took the pigtail with me. I asked for the adaptor as describe by you. You were right about the adaptor but it turned out that I had the wrong pigtail so I bought the correct one, problem sold.
Again thanks.
