Hello, I recently acquired a caravan that used to belong to my mother and would like a little bit of help if at all possible.
We have just had our first trip out in it (after having it all checked out to be safe) and a lovely bloke came up to have a look as he used to have one similar only his was a Danish monza, he said it still looks all original and got on his hands and knees to look at the plate on the a frame.
Our caravan is French and made by star in the early 1980's and had XL410 on the side of it. My mum can't remember any other info .
Any help would be very much appreciated.
If you google image Star caravane, ie caravane in French theres plenty of pictures of them. Looking at 80s models they appear to have Al-ko chassis which is common to most caravans, which means that you will have no trouble getting it serviced at an UK caravan workshop as chassis parts, brakes & bearings etc are all available no probs.
Interior such as cooker & fridge will most likely be same make as those fitted to 80s UK built caravans.
If you want more info then go on google.fr & google in French using cut & paste from google translate. The French like old things so you should find links to French owners club etc.
