Awhile ago I called in at a caravan place to pick up some new space age, fuel saving, La De Da LED light assemblies!!

In their show room these vans were within maybe 20 metres of one another. We certainly have come a long way, who would have a picture of Elvis in their van these days!

No room for such things in these vans.

I'm afraid they are just a little small for me and Jen, what about you?

The first caravan is £6400 UK pounds. I doubt that would fetch £2000 here even in its nicely restored state. As for the teardrops, you can buy them here as well. Everybody thinks they are cute but few will buy them as they are too small to be of much use.

I agree whole heartedly. What they ask for and what they get can be two completely different things. The person selling has probably put heaps of time into it but that doesn't necessarily relate to what someone will pay for it.

I travel extensively and I haven't seen a tear drop on the road. Even taking into account our slightly warmer temperatures they just won't cut the mustard here, so to speak.

Either of those vans wouldn't last long if you took them off the black stuff over here.

all we have over here in the UK is "black stuff".. i envy you and your open space.. if i could i would.. he he..

those tear-drops are ideal for a young couples and nice weather.. cook in the open and sleep in the van..

chuck a few camping chairs and a table inside whilst not using the bed and off you go.. he he

its pretty much all organized camping site stuff in the UK not much wild camping goes on..

I looked at those teardrop vans a while back, but after doing some research found they weren't really suitable for our climate (in my opinion)

Very little space, with no "indoor" cooking facilities, plus the added downside of how to get changed. You'd have to be a contortionist to get changed in one of those teardrops :D
