Hi, just planning tomorrows trip to white house beach Suffolk. We will be going via A14 is it best to leave A14 at jct 43 and take A143 or exit at jct49 to take A1120, or to go the long way round by staying on A14 to join A12 which is further but may be a quicker road to take. Any thoughts folks. thanks in advance Albee
Assuming that you will be on the A12 approaching Ipswitch then I would use neither of the routes you suggest. I would turn onto the A14 at Ipswitch going East and then onto the A12 going North. It is the way we went ( in reverse order ) when going from White Horse Beach to Crystal Palace and it is a good fast road sll the way.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Coming from the west on the A14 as you appear to be doing I would leave at junction 43 and use the A143.
In my opinion the extra 20 miles or so to use the A12 is not worth it. Only the early part of the A12 is dual carriageway, the latter part no better than the A143.
Hi, many thanks all for your replies/advice, just returned from trip to white house beach used A143 route from the A14 nice wide easy road to take. route finder route did sound complicated on nearing Lowestoft but road was well signed and easy to follow.
