Concerned about the lock on our new caravan from the day we purchased it. The key turns and locks no problem but it regularly catches and we can't open the door. We have a bailey unicorn cartagena. The barrel appears loose.any suggestions
Take the van back and get it sorted under warranty.

Put it on a seasonal pitch now with a full size awning so a lot to take downto take Iit back to dealers was just wondering if anybody had come across a broken lock before and could they poss fix it
If the lock has only been sticking since you have been on site then try adjusting corner steadies, as body might have flexed. I take it you know that corner steadies should only be used to level caravan end to end & not side to side? Blocks under wheels to level it & steadies should be wound onto ground firmly but should not be used to lift caravan.
You can take the lock off by removing the two blank covers and undo the four screws. You can then see what is catching. I doubt that the body has twisted that much as Billy x suggests.
Be really careful if you decide to strip the lock.
Mine was exactly the same - it worked OK but caught as you tried to open the door because the latch did not seem to withdraw far enough. Took it to bits and greased all the moving part and it works fine now BUT there are springs and circlips that will go flying if you are not careful.
