I had been looking for a while on eBay for an extra Calor Lite bottle, within reasonable driving distance. I didn't want to pay the £45 deposit for a new bottle, and then there's another £23.75 for the gas.
I found a seller nearby selling two empty bottles at a reasonable buy it now price, and I thought I would easily be able to sell the second one, so bought them.
On picking them up I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the bottles were subject to recall. So I got them replaced at the local Calor stockist with full ones, and will now probably make a profit when I sell the second bottle that I don't need.
I would hang on to the second one, you can guareentee it will run out half way thr cooking and everywhere will be shut always a good idea to carry 2 bottles

Nice one.
I bought one off Ebay for £22 empty, exchanged it at Gooutdoors for
another £20 so cheaper paying the deposit price and gas on top.
Don't think you'll have much bother selling it because when i was looking, they were selling fast.
With the supply difficulties there has been with getting exchanges of Calor Lite, and its distribution only to selected resellers, you might find you are shooting yourself in the foot selling the second one. I would ensure at least one full spare is always held in stock, for whatever few tens of pounds selling might achieve.
Already got 2 Calor Lites in the caravan, but wanted a third so that when we go away for a long trip to Europe I can guarantee having 2 full bottles.
I now have 4 Lites, so will be selling one of them.
