Hi hope you dont thiink this is a daft question we are on a seasonl pitch awning up . Now noticed the tap at back is leaking we are hardstanding but grass at back . The grass is getting soaked is it possible to unpeg lift the poles slightly and move it roughly 12 ins forward , without causing damage to the awning . Has anyone else ever moved it like this. We have amover which will help . Thanks just please dont laugh hubby thinks im nuts but its me thatgets wet feet if we need to go in thebox we have at the back of van 😣
I was once on a site where a tree was in danger of falling and we moved several caravans like that but you need lots of people to hold up the awning poles while you move the van. Would it be possible to get hold of a wooden pallet to stand on in front of the box? Or better still, get the site owner to fix the leak!

I have seen it done times when people want to stay another week and have to move to another pitch.Plenty of hands needed, one on each pole and someone else pulling the van.
Hi no its not woeth it lol .But other option is dismantle the awning take down and move it put it all back up .Site owner has fixed part of the leak but its coming from main pipe and without shifting us don't think he can do ant more. Will probably do it at end of season. There are only 2 of us hats why I thought of lifting poles off the floor its a full awning 975 so that's why I don't want to take it down bloody hard work putting it back up x
Fixing the leaking tap is a simple job to do.
look closer, where is the tap leaking from,if its from the shaft that screws in and out all you need is some PTF tape and a spanner. Click on this
