Connected the water today and the taps in the kitchen and bathroom work fine, however when using the taps the shower BASE leaks out water. The shower head itself does not work when taps are turnt and nothing else is running. So kitchen and bathroom taps run fine but water leaks from base of shower - can anyone explain? :) thanks!!
The leak at the base could be the seal where the flexible pipe screws to the base.
Is there a control valve on the shower head itself? there was on my ABI and also on my Lunar

Could be a twisted pipe inside the chrome pipe that leads to the shower head, inside it's only like a thin very flexible rubbery pipe. We had a problem same as yours, after trying everything found that.
Not sure how hubby did it but I think he took off the shower head and chrome pipe apart, I know he said it was such a simple thing after trying everything else for ages.
Issues with the electrical micro switch(s) in the shower could well cause the shower taps not to switch on the pump, but on together with some other tap cracked open the water flowing from the shower.
Frost damage, is often the cause of leaks from our taps, the shower in particular as it does not readily drain even if remembered.
The silver shower hose is quickly and cheaply replaced with a new one bought from any large DIY store such as Wilkos or even Aldi, B&Q also sell them but they are rather expensive in there.
Its just a simple job of unscrewing the old one and rescrewing on the new, complete with the new washers that came in the pack, which are sometimes already within the end caps.

We didnt need to renew our chrome hose as it has a tube like pipe running inside it as I have said it was twisted. Not sure all vans are like this but I suspect they are otherwise the bigger bore of the chrome hose would let too much water out as in a domestic shower.
