Just wondered if any of you Guys have got the Fiamma Caravanstore 360...
Ive been offered one at a fabulous price..
Just wondered what your thoughts are.. Good and bad..
I have the Porch/Full Awning... was thinking of this Canopy for the short trips...

They are fine if it's not windy at all, quite rare these days.

Wouldn't trust them otherwise though all that metal to wrap around your roof. My friend has one but seldom uses it due to the weather. We use our air awning more

We had one , but bit of a pain if you want to take off if you are using a awning, but we like to use a canopy for just short breaks so opted for a Isabella shadow, nice and light, very easy to put up and take down if it gets a bit to windy

We used them on a couple of our caravans. OK we had on the odd occasion gone out in the middle of the night to take it down because of wind but providing you anchor them down well they are very useful. You can leave it on the side of the van so there is no extra storage space being up. On our motorhome we now have a wind out one which is even better.

They are great for short trips and very quick to use, although not that great in wet and windy weather. You can for peace of mind buy these which do help.

We use ours all the time with lightweight sides. Lots available second hand at around £70 - 120.

We sometimes have an awning on one side and canopy on the other but for quick camp stop the canopy is all you need (for France) really.

So quick up and with the storm strap it is secure for anything but gale force winds. Haven't seen that plate for the feet before but will look into it. edit: for £19 I think I will make my own.

Remember to twist the storm straps to prevent vibrations in the breeze.

We are down in Dubrovnik as I write this and the Fammia is all we have used for the whole trip so far. The air awning hasn't come out of the back of the jeep yet. We do use the Air awning more at home though. If its for a good price I would buy it because you will use it and as said above, they are very easy and quick to set up..

Best thing we ever bought, can be rolled out and pegged out in 10 mins , and packed away in10 mins too. We spend 10 weeks in France and it is ideal for us when touring. It gives some shade from the sun and keeps things dry if it rains. For many years we had a full awning, which suited us when we had children with us, but now we are two+dog it is ideal.
We have a porch awning which we haven't used for ages and a 4.5 m tunnel type awning , which funnily enough we have up now!
We are in Cotswolds ... 200 miles from home and have invited friends for a BBQ tomorrow.It will be raining tomorrow so we will all sit in the awning.

I've considered a Caravanstore before but was put off by the assembly instructions which show you have to open up the awning rail on the corners. Does this really have to be done ?

I have a Fiamma Caravanstore, and while they are questionable in high winds, I find it ideal for our use. It doesn't need the awning channel opened up providing you already have an opening to insert an awning (certainly no mention of that in my instructions). Initial fitting can be a fiddle as you un-roll the whole thing, and rely on someone to support the end beam while you thread the awning into the channel. Once it's on, roll it up and zip it away and it stays on the side of the van.
I un-roll and pitch the Caravanstore in 6-7 mins, and about the same to roll up and zip away.

I have a Kampa Air Rally Pro too, but this stays in the garage generally and comes out for longer use only. Most of our caravanning is weekend use and the Caravanstore is ideal for our needs.

As above.. Not really but if the opening in your rail is lower down, you might find it easier to make an opening close to the level part of the rail. You can DIY with a cloth and vice grips or dealers have a crank made to do the job - neater if done properly. Takes only a minute to do.

I opened the rails at both sides of my van so that we can have up the canopy and an awning occasionally.

Sometimes we use the canopy as a car port to shade it from the sun in Europe.
