my toilet cubicle is plastic walled and I fitted a towel rail from window wall to door wall over top of loo just above head height(like those you see in wardrobes) of flat tube type with rounded edge top and bottom.
The toilet lining is re-enforced with timber so I used 4 stainless steel 3/8" No6s csk screws and filled holes with sealant before screwing screws home. not very likely that water will splash that high rust screws or leak past when washing hands.
Thanks for your replies. The wall it would be on wouldn't get splashed at all. We have bought microfiber tiles which are a lot lighter than the ones which we used. We will try those on the stick on type of hooks for the time being and bear in mind the 3/8 No 6s csk screw. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
You could also try sticking it on with a dab of No Nails hold it in place with some sort of tape till it sets. Years ago we had a new bathroom put in and there was nowhere to put the toilet paper holder so I stuck it on the inside of one of the cupboard doors using No Nails and its never given any problems only that guests have to look around for it if the door is closed
Thanks for your replies. We were going away and purchased the microfiber towels. We put on the stick on ones to give them a try with the 150cm x 80 cm. They were great. They dried well and were light and big enough to wrap round well. They dried quickly and didn't putt of the stick on ones. Should we have any more problems we will use the No Nails as I don't think the board is thick enough to old screws on.
